Our Events at COP30

Our delegation will be doing events throughout the month of November in Belém, Brazil. This UN Climate Conference is critical for Indigenous People because this is the Indigenous COP. Held in the Amazon, we will be working closely with our relatives, the Huni Kuin and the Yanawana to hold ceremony and advocate for the needs of Indigenous People globally. Some of our events will be in the official United Nations Blue Zone while others will be held outside the venue at the People's Summit, Culture Hub, and at local intitutions. We look forward to seeing you there!!

Our Events

Prior to COP our team is going to come into Belém in a good way. We will start with a paddle and protocol to be welcomed by our relatives into their lands. On November 8th, A Wisdom Keepers Delegation will paddle to parrot beach, collect water to add to the waters we have gathered from around the world. Then we will paddle to the canoe club in Belém to be welcomed by our relatives, and to do protocol to ask if we are invited to the land. This ceremony is crucial for how we come into the space. Individuals are allowed to join in the paddle or welcome the delegation on land. Sign up below for more information.
